Accounting for Variations on Builda Price
To account for a small variation on your project, follow the steps below:
- Enter the project you wish to add a variation too
- In the Tasks section add a task named Variation
- Add sub tasks for what is included in the variation
- You can be as detailed as you like with the type of tasks associated with the variation
- Select your sub tasks to create a budget and quote for each
- Commit the changes to the project
- Select Project
- Create a version
- You will be prompted to create the first Budget and Quote version or to create a new version
- Once the version has been committed, that data will pull through to the rest of the platform.
To account for a large variation on your project, please follow these steps below:
If you have a large variation that requires pricing, you can utilise the Own Take-off Templates or have your merchant complete the take-off for you.
- Once the take-off has been completed, enter the applicable project and navigate to Estimates
- Select, Create a new estimate
- Name the estimate Variation and select your preferred merchant
- Create estimate
- Import either your own take-off templates or your merchant take-off
- Continue to price the rest of the variation estimate
- Once you have completed pricing the variation, under the estimate actions, select Generate tasks
- Your variation is now available and ready for your workers to timesheet against and bills to be allocated
