Default Task Templates
Default task templates are useful to quickly populate your projects with the same tasks to ensure continuity for your team onsite, this will provide better reporting and ease of timesheet allocation for your workers.
- From the Tasks navigation panel under Projects, you can add default task templates to help efficiently populate new tasks for your projects
- Select Add tasks from template in the top right corner
- There are three pre-loaded default task templates in the system to choose from, and your saved templates
- Comprehensive default templates have the most pre-populated tasks and subtasks out of all three default templates
- The Simple contract template will have less Tasks and Subtasks than the Comprehensive template
- The Flat structure template will have no subtasks under each set of tasks
By selecting a default task template you are able to make any applicable changes.
- When selecting 'create new template from default', the template will save to 'your templates' for you to use for future projects. Best practice is to only 'create new template from default' if you have made changes to the template and would like to save it for future use. This is useful if you have many jobs with a similar scope of work
If you have made changes to a default template and want to save them for future use select 'create new template from default'.
You can select and use the default task templates for any project.
- By selecting the applicable template and selecting 'add tasks from template' you will be able to load the tasks to your project
To avoid doubling up and having multiple default templates in 'your templates', select to only 'add tasks from template'.
