Creating a new timesheet
This will cover how to create a new timesheet for a worker through the web browser, and not through the time-sheeting app.
- Under the Allocations heading, select Timesheets
- Click the +New Timesheet Button in the top right
- Select the worker
- Select the appropriate day
- Select the Project you want to add hours for
- Click the Select a Task box to show a dropdown list of all available subheadings for that job. Select the appropriate task.
- In the time box [0:00] enter the desired hours and minutes. These can be entered in hr:min format (e.g. 7:30) or in decimal format (e.g. 7.5). Regardless of which format you use to enter data, the time will then display in hours and minutes.
- If that's all that is needed to complete the timesheet, click the Save button.
- Enter a note about a specific work section by clicking the page icon button.
- We recommend adding task notes to every timesheet added as this will help with transparency and reporting later in the job.
- An Admin note can also be added by clicking on the Admin note box
- We recommend adding an Admin note as this is a great way to show communication within the organization
- Repeat this process to add more Tasks or Jobs for this worker. Once all relevant data has been entered, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom.
These newly created timesheets will appear in the financials page of the job immediately and ready for reporting.
