Edit and remove workers
Below are the steps to edit and update a worker, like changing from a Contract worker to a Hourly worker or their pay details need to change or they may have left your company.
Edit workers
- Under the People heading, select Workers
- Select the worker you want to edit details for
- After selecting a worker, their details can be edited in the right-hand panel.
- After updating details click the Save worker button to keep any changes
Removing workers
- Workers cannot be deleted except upon request, but they can be disabled. The reason why they are not deleted is because they will have timesheets allocated against their name on your jobs.
- To disable a worker, simply click the Disable worker link at the bottom of the workers personal details screen. The worker will be moved from the Workers list to the Disabled tab.
Reactivate a worker
If a worker returns to your organization you can reactivate them and they can begin allocating time against jobs.
- Under the People heading, select Workers
- Expand the Disabled Tab and select the worker you want to reactivate
- Update their details and click the Enable worker button
- Once Enabled, click the Generate new code button for the worker to login to the Builda Price time-sheeting app.
Removing User Access
If you have set your worker up with user permissions, like being a foreman on particular jobs, to remove the their ability to access the timesheet app, or the organization after they have been disabled they need to have their permission revoked under the User section.
- Under the People heading, select Users
- Select the user you would like to edit
- Untick the selected user permissions to revoke user access
- Click the Save permissions
Permanently remove a user
- Select the user from the list
- Under the User details, Click Delete User
- Once you click the Delete User button, you will be prompted to confirm.
- Click Ok
