Misc (Miscellaneous) Templates
Miscellaneous templates account for parts of the project that are not part of a Material take-off, these often include and are not limited to; Demolition, Excavation, and broken-down labour requirements for Pre-nail Frames and Trusses.
There are 15 system-generated templates for you to use immediately. Misc templates are created and edited the same way Overhead templates are. Some system templates will have Labour Factors added to them, they have been set and will not be updated by our Labour Factor Team.
- Select the person icon in the top right-hand corner and click Settings
- Go to Estimate Settings and select Misc Templates
- This will display the 15 system-generated templates
- Select the template you wish to populate and click Populate Template
- Use the Labour Rate cell to enter the Labour Rate for the template as a whole, then use the arrow button on the left to expand the template to display the line items within.
- Begin populating the template line by line. Figures that are monetary amounts should be entered in the Material Rate ($) To get an entered value to hold simply click into another cell.
- Line items that contain labour need a figure in the Labour Factor column. Labour Factor = time. In the example below, I intend to spend 30mins per week conducting site audits, so I enter a labour factor of 0.5 hrs per week.
- A good tip is to keep the line items generic. If there is anything that is considered a job-specific quantity it should only be entered once the template has been imported into the job.
